About Dr. Tavarez

Dr. Chantal Tavarez was born and raised in Santiago, Dominican Republic, where she graduated cum laude from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in 2011.

After moving to the United States, she completed a rigorous three-year international dentistry program at Columbia University in New York City, with clinical rotations at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital from 2015 to 2018.

Dr. Tavarez is known for her gentle and caring approach. She values patient comfort and believes that healthy, functional oral hygiene supports overall wellness. Her practice philosophy centers on professionalism, compassion, and personalized care.

When she is not caring for patients, Dr. Tavarez is an advocate for a healthy and active lifestyle. She enjoys spending time in nature and exercising to stay grounded. Dr. Tavarez’s clinical expertise is grounded in a dual educational background, having successfully completed advanced dental studies at both the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) and the prestigious Columbia University. She views her formal degree as just the beginning of her professional journey; she is deeply committed to the pursuit of mastery in her field. By consistently engaging in continuing education, Dr. Tavarez ensures that her diagnostic methods and treatment protocols remain at the cutting edge of modern dentistry.

Professional Memberships

Beyond the clinic, Dr. Tavarez maintains a strong presence in the wider dental community through active membership in the American Dental Association (ADA), the New York State Dental Association (NYSDA), and the Ninth District Dental Association. She also dedicates significant time to humanitarian stewardship, currently serving as a Board Member for Somos Amigos Medical Missions. Through this role, she helps guide a non-profit organization that has spent over 28 years delivering vital healthcare to remote communities in the Dominican Republic.
